Box Score 2 JOLIET, Ill. – The Roosevelt University women's volleyball team lost to the University of Saint Francis in four sets on Thursday, March 4 in a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) match at the Pat Sullivan Center in Joliet, Ill.
The Lakers held tough with the Fighting Saints during the second set and pulled to within two points on two occasions at 22-20 and 24-22, but could not fight off set point to fall behind 2-0 in the match. Roosevelt fell into a 7-2 hole in the third set before chipping away at the lead and tying the set at 16-16. The Lakers then scored the next three points to lead 19-16 and set themselves for set point at 24-20. However, Saint Francis scored three straight points to make it a 24-23 score before a kill from Logan Cofield (FR/Ypsilanti, Mich.) gave the Lakers the set win and extended the match. Unfortunately, the Fighting Saints controlled the fourth set and went on to win 25-17 to take the match.
