CHICAGO – Roosevelt Vice President for Athletics and Student-Athlete Success Mike Cassidy announced a change in leadership of the Lakers women's volleyball program Tuesday.
"I am appreciative of the commitment and service coach Nicasio Paquiz Jr. provided Roosevelt Athletics and the women's volleyball team over the last eight seasons," Cassidy said. "I wish him nothing but success in his future endeavors."
Paquiz led the Lakers for eight years after joining Roosevelt prior to the 2018 season. The Lakers recorded a 48-170 during Paquiz's tenure and made the conference tournament in 2023. This season, Roosevelt finished 2-26, including a 1-15 mark in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference.
Roosevelt will not be naming an interim head coach and will instead begin its nationwide search for a new head coach immediately.
