CHICAGO - Fresh off the first postseason win in modern program history this past Monday, the Roosevelt men's basketball team takes a trip to Bourbonnais to see if the Lakers can record their second postseason victory as Olivet Nazarene hosts the Green and White in a 2014 CCAC Men's Basketball Tournament quarterfinal tonight at 7:30 p.m.
The game between the Lakers (15-15) and the Tigers (16-12) can be watched live online here. WRBC will also have a live audio stream of the quarterfinal here.
Wednesday's winner advances to the CCAC semifinals, which would be a first for the fourth-year Roosevelt program, against the winner of Wednesday's quarterfinal between Saint Xavier (26-4) and St. Francis (15-14). The semifinal game will be held Friday at the site of the highest remaining seed, which would be Milwaukee and the Panella Court of top-ranked Cardinal Stritch (27-3) if the Wolves win their quarterfinal against Calumet College of St. Joseph (15-15) tonight.
Roosevelt advanced to the quarters as a result of Monday's thrilling 73-68 overtime decision against Indiana South Bend at the Goodman Center. Joe Harks scored a game-high 21 points to pace the Lakers.
Tyree York leads the CCAC in assists with 6.2 helpers per game. The junior point guard dished out six helpers in the win over IUSB to go along with his 15 points against the Titans.
As the Lakers did on Monday, Roosevelt will seek to avenge a regular-season loss at the Goodman Center as Olivet won in the two teams' only previous meeting back on Jan. 25 in Chicago.
A win for the Lakers will also give them a school-best single-season win total since the program was revived in 2010.
