Men's Basketball Concludes Four-Game Road Trip This Week With Key CCAC Showdowns At IU South Bend And St. Francis (Ill.)

Chicago, Ill. - The Roosevelt men's basketball team completes a four-game road swing this week with CCAC dates at IU South Bend on Tuesday, Feb. 14, and St. Francis (Ill.) on Saturday, Feb. 18.

The Lakers are 1-1 through the first two games of the trip with a 72-54 win at Purdue North Central on Feb. 8 and a loss at Saint Xavier on Feb. 11.
Roosevelt (9-15) is currently 1-5 in the league standings and in a tie for fifth place with the Fighting Saints (13-12) with the Lakers owning the tiebreaker edge. Roosevelt is two games back of the Titans (14-12), who are 3-3 in the CCAC. IU South Bend's standing gives them the final slot for a coveted home game in the quarterfinals of the CCAC Tournament which begins on Feb. 28. This year will mark the Lakers' first season of being eligible for the postseason tournament.
Roosevelt is looking to even the season series with IU South Bend after losing at home to the Titans back on Jan. 25. The Lakers, meanwhile, are in search of their first-ever league season series sweep when they invade St. Francis (Ill.) on Saturday. Roosevelt topped the Fighting Saints, 83-76, on Jan. 28 at Attack Athletics.
