CHICAGO – The Roosevelt University women's basketball team celebrated "Senior Night" on Wednesday, February 16 prior to its CCAC Conference game versus 18^th ranked St. Xavier University, honoring senior Nicole Poole before falling to the Cougars 103-73 at the Goodman Center.  The loss dropped the Lakers conference record to 7-14 and their overall record to 8-17 on the year.

The Lakers led 7-4 early in the game following two free throws from Gabrielle Beggs, a jumper by Shawna Conger, and a three-pointer from Amelia McNutt.  However, the Cougars scored the next nine points to take a 13-7 lead and increased that margin to 23-8 with 2:37 to go in the opening quarter. 

St. Xavier closed out the first quarter up 28-15 and kept building on that lead throughout the game, leading 48-28 at the half and holding a margin as large as 32 points before winning 103-73.
