Box Score CHICAGO – The Roosevelt University women's basketball team could not keep pace with Olivet Nazarene University, losing by the score of 120-40 in CCAC Conference action on Wednesday, January 19 at the Goodman Center. The loss dropped the Lakers conference record to 4-7 and their overall record to 5-10 on the year.
Olivet Nazarene's high paced offense jumped out to a 6-0 lead on two three-pointers just 24 seconds into the contest. The Lakers pulled to within three points early on and trailed 9-6 with 7:04 to go in the opening quarter. However, the Tigers scored the next six points and took control of the game, leading 35-10 at the end of the first quarter.
The visitors continued to build on their lead behind their up-tempo, quick substitution playing style, defeating the Lakers for the conference victory.
