Box Score ELGIN, Ill. – The Roosevelt University women's volleyball team suffered a straight set loss to Judson University in a CCAC Conference match on Thursday, October 28 at the Lindner Fitness Center in Elgin, Ill. The loss dropped the Lakers overall record to 3-23 and kept the team winless in the CCAC at 0-15.
The Lakers took a 2-0 lead to begin the opening set, but the Eagles broke a 4-4 to take the lead for good and win the set 25-12.
In the second set, the two teams were tied at 13-13 when Judson scored four straight points to take a 17-13 advantage. However, the Lakers answered by scoring the next three points and evened things up at 19-19 on a Viktoria Marysheva service ace. Unfortunately, Judson put together another rally, scoring six of the last seven points to win 25-20 and take a 2-0 match lead.
The Eagles continued that momentum into the third set, scoring the first four points of the stanza, but the Lakers came back with three consecutive points to cut the deficit to 4-3. Judson scored the next three points and continued to pull away, winning the set 25-13 to sweep the match.
