Roosevelt Men's Volleyball Signs Oregon Middle Blocker Tanner McTeigue

CHICAGO – Roosevelt University Head Men's Volleyball Coach Nick Spallina has announced the signing of Tanner McTeigue from St. Helens, Ore. for the 2020-21 season.

McTeigue is a 6'7 middle blocker and opposite hitter who will graduate from St. Helens High School. The incoming freshman plays his club ball for Cowlitz Aces Volleyball Club and he was a part of the northwest regional team.

"Tanner adds some much needed height to the program," said Coach Spallina. "He has the ability to shut down offenses with a big block and take the game over offensively. I am looking forward to watching him grow both in the classroom and on the court."

"I've always loved the idea of living in a big city and Roosevelt just seemed like a great fit," said the new Laker. "They have the major I wanted, as well as volleyball, and the campus is beautiful. The location is great and Roosevelt just seemed like the best choice overall."

McTeigue will pursue a degree in computer science and will attend Roosevelt University beginning this fall.
