CHICAGO - The Roosevelt volleyball team faced the tough task of tangling with perennial CCAC power Trinity Christian on Saturday, and the Lakers couldn't avoid the errors in a 25-12, 25-14, 25-13 loss to the Trolls inside the Goodman Center.

Sydney Mishler led Roosevelt (5-10, 1-3 CCAC) with seven kills, while Makenzie Cooper added five.

Anna Maatman led the Trolls (6-5, 4-0 CCAC) with 10 kills.

Roosevelt had as many errors as kills on the afternoon, mirroring its 21 kills with 21 attack miscues. Add in five service errors and 12 receiving errors and it was a tough day at the office for the Lakers.

Meanwhile Trinity Christian was connecting most of the time, including a 10-kill, one-error second-set showing for a 50-percent clip on the attack.

Roosevelt will look to bounce back and snap its skid when St. Francis (Ill.) ventures to the Goodman Center this Tuesday, Sept. 17 at 7 p.m.
