DEERFIELD, Ill. – Daria Voronina's eight kills paced the Roosevelt volleyball team as the Lakers fell to a Trinity Christian team receiving Top 25 votes by a final of 25-14, 25-17, 25-16, in the Lakers' opening match at the CCAC Crossover hosted by Trinity International on Friday evening.

Kendra Lee added seven kills and Mallory Nickelson dished out 20 assists for Roosevelt (1-16, 1-6 CCAC).

Kacie Stoll led the Trolls (13-6, 6-0 CCAC) with a match-high 11 kills.

Trinity Christian hit over .300 in each of the first two sets to be a tough out as Roosevelt could not keep up on this day.

The Lakers aim to make Saturday a better day with Crossover contests against Indiana South Bend and Governors State.
