CHICAGO – Roosevelt University senior middle blocker/right side hitter Tori Schrementi (Crete, Ill./Illinois Lutheran H.S.) was named the Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference Volleyball Attacker of the Week for the period ending Sept. 13, the league announced on Tuesday, Sept. 15.
Schrementi was dominating on offense, averaging 15 kills per match and 3.75 kills per set in a pair of wins for the Lakers. She hit at a blistering clip of .510 for the week.
She started the week with an errorless 10-kill showing during a three-set sweep of visiting Governors State on Sept. 8.
Schrementi then followed that up with a 20-kill, five-block showing in a five-set CCAC road win over St. Ambrose on Sept. 10, with an attack percentage of .455.
This marks the first career CCAC Player of the Week honor for Schrementi and the first weekly award for a Laker this season.
Roosevelt hosts a pair of matches at the Goodman Center this week, beginning with Saint Xavier on Tuesday, Sept. 15 at 7 p.m.
