LOCKPORT, Ill. - The Roosevelt men's tennis team's season came to an end on Friday, as the Lakers fell to host St. Francis in the CCAC semifinals by a final of 6-0 on the courts at Challenge Fitness.
The Lakers finished the regular season 4-7. After not winning a single match in the previous two seasons, Roosevelt broke through with four victories in 2013 and advanced to the CCAC semifinals for the first time.
The Fighting Saints (16-6), who are receiving votes in the NAIA Top 25, won for the ninth straight time and advanced to Saturday's CCAC final to host Olivet Nazarene.
