Westville, Ind. - The Roosevelt volleyball team went on the road to collect its first-ever Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference victory, sweeping host Purdue North Central, 25-21, 26-24, 25-22 on Thursday night.
With the win, the Lakers are now 1-2 in CCAC play and 3-11 overall. The Panthers, meanwhile, slip to 0-4 in the league while owning a 4-9 season ledger.

Vanessa Owusu led Roosevelt's charge, tallying 11 kills behind a blistering .526 attack percentage.
Nicole Winter added a team-high 13 digs, while freshman
Sydney Spicer totaled 12 digs in the win.
The Lakers will be back in action on Friday when they open play at the two-day St. Ambrose Tournament in Davenport, Iowa.
