CHICAGO – The Roosevelt women's soccer program earned the 2025-26 Team Academic Award from United Soccer Coaches for the second consecutive year, the organization announced Monday.
The award honors college programs around the country that maintain at least a 3.0 GPA as a team, a mark the Lakers easily sailed past with a team GPA of 3.35. This past academic year, the women's soccer team had 20 student-athletes earn academic honors from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, including eight who maintained a GPA of 3.5 or greater. In addition, the program had three student-athletes earn Academic All-District honors from College Sports Communicators this year for being a regular contributor while maintaining a 3.5 GPA or better.
Roosevelt begins its season with a pair of exhibition games, Aug. 19 at home against Rockford Raptors and Aug. 23 at Illinois Tech before starting the regular season on Aug. 27 at Upper Iowa.
