BOLINGBROOK, Ill. – Led by a pair of 73s from Jamie Garnett, Roosevelt finished in a tie for seventh Tuesday in a weather-shortened Flyers Spring Invitational hosted by Lewis at Bolingbrook Golf Club.

With bad weather looming Tuesday, the Lakers played 27 holes Monday with a plan to finish the final nine holes Tuesday. However, Roosevelt was able to squeeze just three more holes in Tuesday before the weather impacted play, so the scores were reverted back to the 27-hole total after the other teams finished up their 27 holes.

Garnett was off to a flying start Monday with a birdie on the third hole, a par-5 that yielded just 18 birdies in the event. He added a birdie on the par-5 10^th as well to move to 2-under before three bogeys in a four-hole stretch brough the freshman out of the red. He carded bogeys on the first two holes of his second round, but responded with a birdie on the par-3 eighth to finish in a tie for 3^rd overall at 2-over for the tournament.

Matthew Webb made the return to the Lakers lineup after his strong showing last week and finished in 17^th place with a 5-over for the 27 holes. He made just one birdie in his opening round 77, but cancelled out two bogeys with birdies on the second and fifth holes in the second round to shoot an even par 36 for his final nine holes.

Ben Jones finished at 9-over in 44^th place while Lucas Faubert and Marc Waller each shot 10-over to finish tied for 51^st.
