CHICAGO – Here's a look at the week ahead in Roosevelt Athletics.

Tennis

The Roosevelt men's (5-8) and women's (7-6) tennis teams open up their conference seasons this week with a pair of matches. The Lakers will face Davenport on Friday and Grand Valley State on Saturday, with both matches at XS Tennis. 

Men's Volleyball

After winning both games against Southwest Baptist last week, the Roosevelt men's volleyball team returns home to take on Thomas More for a pair of games. The Lakers (11-5, 3-1 GLVC) and Saints (2-13, 0-4 GLVC) will first play on Friday at 6:00 pm before completing the weekend set at 2:00 pm on Saturday.

Softball

Having been idle for the past two weeks, the Roosevelt softball team begins conference play with a pair of weekend doubleheaders at Parkway Bank Sports Complex in Rosemont. The Lakers (6-14) will first take on Purdue Northwest (11-7) on Saturday with the first game at 1:00 p.m. before battling Grand Valley State (9-11) on Sunday at the same time.

Baseball

Off the back of a 4-0 road trip in Ohio last week, the Roosevelt baseball team starts GLIAC play in Caledonia, Mich. with a four-game set against Davenport. The Lakers (7-11) and Panthers (8-14) will play Friday at 2:00 p.m., a Saturday doubleheader beginning at noon, and Sunday at 11:00 a.m.
