BIG RAPIDS, Mich. – Roosevelt finished Tuesday with its best round of the tournament, finishing 19
th at the Midwest/Central Region Preview hosted by Ferris State at KATKE Golf Course in Michigan.
Pierre Heylen led the Lakers by finishing 58
th, closing the tournament with two birdies over his final seven holes to shoot a 4-over 75 on Tuesday. The Frenchman made one birdie in Monday's first round to shoot a 79 and shot a 77 in the afternoon Monday to finish at 18 over for the tournament.
Ben Jones also finished inside the top-100 at 85
th place after shooting 26 over in the three rounds, bouncing back from an opening-round 84 to shoot 76 on Tuesday.
Lucas Faubert finished in a tie for 94
th along with
Marc Waller, who was playing as an independent, as both shot +31 in the event.
Matthew Webb carded four birdies in the third round, starting the day 2-under through four holes, to finish in 103
rd place.
Jamie Garnett finished in 101
st position and ended the tournament with his second birdie of the 54-hole event.
UP NEXT: The Lakers head to Indianapolis next week for the two-day UIndy Fall Invitational at Broadmoor Country Club on Monday and Tuesday.
