CHICAGO – Roosevelt University Athletics is continuing its fundraising push this week after a successful Giving Tuesday that attracted more than $20,000 in donations.
The link to donate to the Athletics Giving Tuesday drive will be open until Friday night, giving you more time to pledge your financial support for the Lakers. Make sure to select your favorite program in the dropdown menu when donating, or you can donate to our Athletics Fund for Excellence to support all 23 of our athletics programs with one gift.
Roosevelt University is on the rise as an institution with an 8 percent growth in enrollment overall, including a 26 percent year-over-year growth in new undergraduate students. Among the new population of undergraduates, the more than 850 freshmen enrolled is a sizable 33 percent jump from the fall of 2024.
As Roosevelt continues to grow, so too does our athletics department as we just finished the fall season of our second year in NCAA Division II. Your support aids us in our pursuit of championships in the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference and on the national stage. When we inevitably get that call to be full members of Division II, we want to be ready to hit the ground running and show the country the power of Roosevelt University.
Every dollar counts to support our incredible student-athletes, who continue to do excellent work in the classroom and on the field. This past academic year, 127 student-athletes were honored by the GLIAC for their academic achievements, including 52 who were honored with inclusion on the Academic Excellence team for holding a 3.5 GPA or better. In addition, 32 elite student-athletes were honored by College Sports Communicators' Academic All-America program with Academic All-District honors.
