LEMONT, Ill. –
Marc Waller carded two of Roosevelt's three rounds in the 70's to lead the Lakers to an 11
th-place finish at the Flyers Fall Intercollegiate hosted at Cog Hill Golf Club in Lemont on Monday and Tuesday.
It was a tough Monday morning for the Lakers with no one able to break 80, leaving Roosevelt tied for 13
th after the opening round of play. The Lakers improved by 12 shots as a team in Monday's afternoon round and Waller carded two birdies en route to a 4-over 76. The junior from Spain equaled his 76 in Tuesday's final round, shooting 1-under over his final 13 holes to finish in a tie for 31
st.
The only other sub-80 score came from
Jamie Garnett in Tuesday's round after he shot a 79 to climb into 42
nd place. The freshman shot an 80 on Monday afternoon along with
Pierre Heylen, who finished in 54
th place after a rough Tuesday.
Matthew Webb led the Lakers after the opening round with an 80 and finished 50
th while
Lucas Faubert finished in 68
th position.
