Box Score BOURBONNAIS, Ill. – The Roosevelt University women's soccer team lost its second straight CCAC Conference game, falling to CCAC Conference leading Olivet Nazarene University by the score of 3-0 at Snowbarger Athletic Complex on Saturday, October 15. The Lakers are now 3-4-2 in conference play and 3-6-3 overall this season.
The Lakers were under pressure early and fell behind 2-0 with the Tigers scoring goals in the eighth and 10th minute marks. Roosevelt settled in after the early goals and attacked the ONU goal for the final 20 minutes of the first half but were unable to find the back of the net.
Early in the second half, RU pushed for its first goal of the contest and narrowly missed on a Meaghan Smith head ball inside the box that went just wide. Olivet Nazarene put the game away with a third goal in the 76th minute for the 3-0 final score.
