Box Score DAVENPORT, Iowa – The Roosevelt University women's basketball team suffered a 66-40 loss to CCAC Conference leading St. Ambrose University (Iowa) on Saturday, January 15 at Lee Lohman Arena. The loss dropped the Lakers overall record to 5-9 and their conference record to 4-6 on the year.
The game started out well for the Lakers with the visitors building an 11-5 lead after an Amelia McNutt three-pointer and leading 15-13 at the end of the opening period. However, the Fighting Bees dominated the second quarter, outscoring the Lakers 21-5 to take a 34-20 advantage at the half-time break.
Roosevelt hung tough with the hosts once again in the third quarter, but St. Ambrose controlled the final quarter of play to increase its lead and win 66-40.
