ROSEMONT, Ill. – The Roosevelt University softball team rode the right arm of Kate Sisson (SO/Martinsville, Ind.) and an opportunistic offense that came through when the Lakers needed to in order to sweep a Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference doubleheader against visiting Indiana South Bend at The Parkway Bank Sports Complex in Rosemont on Saturday, April 17.

Sisson pitched a three-hit shutout in game one to make Roosevelt's early offense stand up in a 3-0 decision to open the twinbill.

The Titans proved tougher to defeat in the finale, but the Lakers' four-run fourth was just enough for Sisson, who came in to get the save and preserve a 7-6 victory for Roosevelt that extended the Lakers' win streak to five games.

Kassie Kawka (JR/Palos Hills, Ill.) drove in two runs in each game.
