LOUISVILLE, Ky. – A remarkable 14 Roosevelt softball student-athletes were honored as 2025-26 Easton/NFCA All-America Scholar-Athletes, the National Fastpitch Coaches Association announced Wednesday.
The honor highlights student-athletes who earned a 3.5 GPA or better during the 2025-26 academic year. The Lakers were on par with many of their peers across the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference with six of the other seven schools placing between 14 and 16 student-athletes on the list.
Roosevelt's 14 honorees features five freshmen, five sophomores, three juniors and a senior, and 10 of them are scheduled to return for the 2027 season. Sydni Taylor graduated this past spring from Roosevelt as the only senior on the list, while the juniors were represented by Ella Dvoracek, Kailey Hancock and Madisyn Schrad. Riley Czarnecki, Angelina Diaz, Catie Luzzi, Kendall Pearson and Cassidy Sullivan were the sophomores honored, and the frist-year recipients were Sophia Barofsky, Lundin Cornelius, Nina Matthews, Marissa Quintero and Kennedi Robien.
