ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – The Roosevelt University women's soccer team played their third game in five days, defeating Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) foe Saint Xavier University by the score of 1-0 on Saturday, March 6 at Morris Field in Arlington Heights, Ill.
The Lakers dominated play throughout the game, but were unable to find the back of the net until late in the game despite outshooting the Cougars 18-3 in the contest. Gabi Christidis (SO/Rockford, Ill.) scored the game winner in the 8oth minute off a shot to the near post on an assist from Johana Camargo (SO/Chicago, Ill.), who won the ball in the midfield and slotted a perfect ball to Christidis for the goal.
