Box Score ARLINGTON HEIGHTS, Ill. – The Roosevelt University women's soccer team played 110 minutes of scoreless soccer versus Holy Cross College (Ind.), tying the CCAC Conference match on Tuesday, October 12 at Morris Field. The Lakers are now 6-6-1 overall and 3-4-1 in conference action this season.
The Lakers controlled the game from the opening whistle and continuously pressured the Saints goal in the first half, holding a 9-2 shot advantage in the first 45 minutes.
The second half and overtime periods were more of the same, with RU ending the game outshooting the Saints 20-6 and forcing goalkeeper Taylor Primack to make seven saves.
Gaby Aguinaga-Hernandez made three saves in earning her fourth shutout of the season with the help of her backline, including Julia Szylke, Marubeni Nieto, Alexis Gonzalez, Mayeri Diaz, and Maddie Gasso. The four shutouts by Aguinaga-Hernandez is a new Lakers individual season record.
