ELGIN, Ill. – The Roosevelt women's soccer team fought hard on a blustery Saturday against host Judson, but the Lakers came up short in a 3-0 loss to the Eagles at Dawson Field.
Kelsey Heaton made four saves in goal for the Lakers (1-7-2, 0-6-1 CCAC), who created second-half chances with four shots but could not bag a goal.
Alondra Blanco was the star for Judson (6-5-0, 4-3-0 CCAC), as she scored the game's first two goals with a 25th-minute marker and an insurance tally in the 54th minute.
Judson added a late 87th minute goal for the final margin.
Roosevelt plays at Calumet St. Joseph on Wednesday night at 7:30 p.m. at East Chicago Central High.
