CHICAGO, Ill. - Roosevelt University head women's basketball coach Keisha Newell has announced the signing of junior college transfer guard JayShari Chears.

JayShari Chears is a 5-foot-5 point guard from Chicago, Illinois by way of Malcom X College. During her time at Malcom X, Chears averaged 19.4 points and dished out 5.5 assists per game while also garneshing the NJCAA Academic Award - Third Team for her accomplishments in the classroom.

"Jay will be an amazing addition to our team. She brings passion, speed, and athleticism on the court and is an outstanding student and person as well. I am confident that her experience will help us in many ways over the next two seasons." Newell said.
