DAVENPORT, Iowa – Kara Jones made 13 saves, but the Roosevelt women's soccer team could not muster anything against host St. Ambrose in a 2-0 loss on Tuesday.

Jones kept the Lakers (2-6-0, 0-3-0 CCAC) in the game after the Bees (6-1-2, 3-0-0 CCAC) struck in the seventh minute thanks to Sarah Thilenius' goal.

St. Ambrose proceeded to unleash 24 shots against the road-weary Lakers, and Jones and the defense were able to withstand most of the pressure save for a 58^th-minute goal by Erin Smothers.

Roosevelt will look to bounce back at Calumet St. Joseph this Saturday.
