ADRIAN, Mich. - Mika Reid scored her first goal of 2016, but the Roosevelt women's soccer team had a tough day at the office against 16th-ranked Siena Heights on Saturday to open the Saints' Siena Heights University Classic.

The Lakers (0-4-0) fell behind quickly after goals by the host team in the second and third minutes and saw the Saints (2-2-1) come away with a 9-1 decision.

Reid scored on a ball from Jamie Beniac n the fourth minute to cut the deficit in half, but Siena Heights responded with another quick pair of goals in the 15th and 17th minutes and tacked on another tally in the 36th.

SHU scored four times in the second half, including once on a PK that also put the Lakers down to 10 women in the 61st minute.

Roosevelt wraps the Siena Heights University Classic on Sunday against Madonna (Mich.).
