GRIFFITH, Ind. – The Roosevelt men's tennis team won for the fifth consecutive time after blanking Purdue Calumet by a final of 9-0 at MatchPoint Tennis & Fitness on Friday.
The Lakers took all but one singles match in straight sets, and the one requiring a tiebreaker was a fantastic comeback by Ignacy Gula at No. 2 singles after a one-point first-set decision went the way of Purdue Cal's Patrick Mudd.
Roosevelt won convincingly in doubles play to set the stage for the Lakers' singles excellence .
The Lakers host Adrian at around 4 p.m. at MatchPoint on Friday as part of the day's tri-match setup.
