HOMEWOOD, Ill. – Playing a pair of matches in a span of less than 24 hours, the Roosevelt men's tennis team put up strong road fights against CCAC foe Judson and NCAA Division I opponent Chicago State.

The Lakers fell in both matches by final scores of 7-0 but turned in a variety of great moments.

Against Judson on Wednesday, the No. 1 doubles team of Carlos Alcantar and Jake Cigelnik took Reilly Good and Andrew Moment to the brink in a narrow 8-6 loss.

The duos of Matt Kuntzi and Dalton Rothe and Manny Eudave and Tyler Weber also gave their paired play bouts all they had for strong showings in defeat. The latter duo also showed well in singles play, with Eudave falling two points shy in the first set and Weber forcing extra play in his second frame.

Eudave and Weber looked even better against Division I talent on Thursday morning in Homewood, as they fought to an 8-4 loss against Uros Pajic and Luis Ulloa.

Roosevelt hosts CCSJ in Grant Park this weekend.
