GRIFFITH, Ind. – Tyler Weber's straight-sets singles win and a variety of competitive battles on the doubles and singles front highlighted the Roosevelt men's tennis team's CCAC match against Cardinal Stritch at Match Point Tennis Club on Tuesday.
Weber won a 6-0, 6-2 singles bout against Brandon Vugrnick at the sixth slot.
Carlos Alcantar and Jake Cigelnik were competitive in their singles contests, with Alcantar falling in narrow and extended 7-5 fashion in the first set of his match against Nader Murad at No. 3 singles and Cigelnik battling to a 6-4 decision in favor of Raymond Weich at the second slot.
All three of the doubles affairs went in favor of Stritch, but the Lakers tallied a pair of points in all three matches.
