PARK FOREST, Ill. – Jake Cigelnik pulled out an impressive three-set comeback win at No. 3 singles, but the Roosevelt men's tennis team could not rally back as Olivet Nazarene picked up the 8-1 victory at Park Forest Tennis and Health.
Cigelnik rallied back from a closely-contested 7-6 opening-set loss to Olivet's Josue Sanchez by winning a 6-4 decision in the second set to force the tiebreaker. In that third set it was all Cigelnik, who won it by a 10-3 count and picked up the singles victory.
The Lakers will seek to finish its CCAC match against St. Francis, which was originally scheduled for Monday but postponed due to rain, this weekend. Stay tuned to RooseveltLakers.com for schedule updates.
