Chicago, Ill. - The Roosevelt women's basketball team welcomes Indiana University South Bend to the Windy City in a CCAC clash inside the UIC Physical Education Building on Tuesday night.
Tip between the Lakers (5-1, 3-1 CCAC) and the Titans (2-5, 1-2 CCAC) is set for 5:30 p.m.
The Lakers are fresh off a 68-58 win over Holy Cross in South Bend on Saturday. Junior forward Maria Tamburrino led the way with game highs of 22 points and 12 rebounds to register her third double-double in just six contests.
Junior guard Casey Davis achieved a historic milestone during Saturday's game at the Saints. Davis surpassed the 1,000 career points mark, ending the game with 1,010 career points to become the first player in program history to surpass 1K in scoring.
Davis ranks ninth in the CCAC in scoring with 15.0 ppg.
Defense has been key to the Lakers' strong start. Roosevelt is allowing just 60.0 ppg, good for third-best in the CCAC, and ranks fourth in the conference in defensive field goal percentage by allowing opponents to hit just 33.4 percent of their attempts from the floor.
Emily Strilich is USB's leading scorer at 13.3 ppg.
Tuesday's game begins a stretch of three of the next four games at home for Roosevelt before the Lakers embark on a six-game road swing from Dec. 5 through Dec. 22.
