BAY CITY, Mich. – Roosevelt's tennis programs each received one honor from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference awards after the league unveiled its postseason honors Thursday.
Jules Rumeau was the Lakers' representative from the men's team, earning All-GLIAC honorable mention from the league. The freshman from Paris, France won two singles matches in conference play this season, including the match-sealing match against Michigan Tech on March 28. Rumeau also won at No. 4 singles against Grand Valley State for Roosevelt's only point in that dual on March 21.
On the women's side, Nathalie Ramazzini was named All-GLIAC honorable mention after a successful first year with the Lakers. The freshman from Guatemala went 4-3 in singles against GLIAC foes, including 4-1 at the No. 5 position. She also teamed up with Luciana Trigosso to win four times in doubles in conference action, including the point-sealing win at No. 3 doubles against No. 45 Wayne State. Â
