Roosevelt Makes Progress At Lucian Rosa Invite

KENOSHA, Wis. – The Roosevelt women's cross country team took on the Lucian Rosa Invitational on Saturday in Kenosha, Wis. and placed all four runners in the top 100.

Gloria Romero led the way for the Lakers by finishing 50th in a time of 26:14, more than a minute faster than her first race of the season. Cristin Moreno came in with a time of 27:54 and placed 73rd overall for the Lakers. Shelsee Isassi improved her time by nine seconds to place 81st in a time of 29:09. Then Khaniya Higginbotham ran her first career cross country meet for Roosevelt and finished in a time of 34:51 to finish 83rd.

UP NEXT: The Lakers have next week off before returning to race Oct. 11 at the Lewis Crossover Invite in Romeoville.
