CHICAGO – The Roosevelt women's soccer program earned a 2024-25 Team Academic Award from United Soccer Coaches for the first time in program history, the organization announced Friday.
The award honors college programs around the country that maintain at least a 3.0 GPA as a team, a mark the Lakers easily sailed past with a team GPA of 3.41. This past academuc year, the women's soccer team had 15 student-athletes earn academic honors from the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference, including seven who held at least a 3.5 GPA. In addition, the program had four student-athletes named Academic All-District honorees by College Sports Communicators this year for being a regular contributor while maintaining a 3.5 GPA or better.
Roosevelt begins its season with a pair of exhibition games on the road before starting the regular season with a 6 p.m. kickoff against Lewis on Sept. 4 at Morris Field.
