KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Twelve Roosevelt athletics programs were honored as NAIA Scholar Teams for the 2023-24 academic year, the NAIA announced Monday afternoon.

The awards honor teams that had a cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 during the academic year, and three-quarters of the Lakers' teams earned this distinction. The top two programs were women's tennis and women's cross country, which both recorded 3.76 GPAs last year. Men's tennis, softball and women's volleyball all also registered GPAs of at least 3.5 in 2023-24.

The other programs honored were women's track and field, women's basketball, men's basketball, men's volleyball, men's soccer, men's cross country and women's soccer.
