Box Score 2 CRESTWOOD, Ill. – The Roosevelt baseball team had a tough day at the office on Ozinga Field on Saturday, opening a four-game series against Concordia (Mich.) with 13-3 and 18-1 losses.
Matt Marrera, Dom Lentini and Jordan Coakley drove in runs in the opener while Wrigley McGuire had a pair of hits.
Jake Hutchinson had two hits in the nightcap, driving in Roosevelt's sole game two run on a second-inning single.
Roosevelt pitching struggled against the Cardinals, as the guests churned out 29 hits across two contests.
The Lakers will look to rebound on Sunday with a doubleheader against Concordia at Ozinga Field to conclude the series.
