ELGIN, Ill. – The Roosevelt baseball team couldn't manufacture runs against host Judson in a pair of losses at Hoffer Field on Saturday.
The Lakers (18-20, 9-14 CCAC) were blanked 3-0 in the opener before finishing the day with an 11-0 defeat to the Eagles (32-16, 20-3 CCAC).
Matt Dunne turned in a quality start in game one, tossing a complete game and allowing just one earned run on six hits.
Unfortunately Dunne had no run support for his fine performance on the mound, and that scoreless trend continued in game two.
Judson's Angel Sanchez and Mark DeYoung tossed back-to-back shutouts to stymie the Lakers' bats.
Andrew Bohlmann had two hits in each game, and Parker Coleman and Logan Fleener each had two-hit games.
The Lakers finish their weekend series against the Eagles on Sunday in a single game at Standard Bank Stadium starting at 12 p.m.
