Women's Tennis Falls To No. 12 Stritch In CCAC Tournament First Round

MILWAUKEE, Wis. – The Roosevelt women's tennis team's season came to a conclusion in the first round of the 2015 CCAC Tournament, as 12th-ranked Cardinal Stritch swept the shorthanded Lakers by a final of 9-0.

Roosevelt finishes the season at 3-14.

"Our conference is very tough," said Roosevelt head coach Lucian Tabic. "Anytime you play a top-15 nationally-ranked team, you have to be at your best. The girls played tough and gave it their best. Unfortunately the opponent overwhelmed us and the scores reflect that today.

"Overall though, both of our teams reached several goals this year that were set in the beginning of the season," said Tabic. "I am very proud of our accomplishments and I'm sure our players feel the same."
