ELGIN, Ill. – Judson's four-run sixth is what proved to be the decisive inning on Friday, as the Roosevelt baseball team's two-run lead was erased and the Lakers eventually fell to the host Eagles, 6-3, on Friday.
AJ Neufeld went 3-for-4 with two runs scored for the Lakers (3-10, 1-5 CCAC).
Starter John Swisher was solid after five shutout innings until the Eagles (15-5, 4-0 CCAC) tallied four runs in a sixth that included two costly Laker errors.
Judson tacked on two in the seventh, and Roosevelt could only score one more run the rest of the way.
The series shifts to Schaumburg, where Roosevelt will host Judson in a doubleheader at Boomers Stadium on Saturday beginning at 1 p.m.
