Chicago, Ill. - On Monday, the Roosevelt University baseball team will head to Saint Xavier for a make-up game from a March 26 rain out. The game takes place at 3:30 p.m. at Ferrell Field in Chicago. Despite traveling across town, the Lakers will be the home team.
The original March 26 contest, which was intended for Alexian Field, was postponed due to rain. The Lakers (5-18, 2-11) and the Cougars (19-17-1, 11-3) made up the first half of the two-game series on March 28 with Saint Xavier prevailing 8-1.
Over the weekend, the Lakers dropped a pair of games against St. Ambrose. In the first game, juniors
Tim Storrs,
Dave Plocharczyk,
Tony Valdes and freshman
T.J. Davis kept it close with RBIs, but the Bees still took a 6-5 victory.
The Cougars were also in action over the weekend. The squad experiences an offensive explosion during their two-game set against Holy Cross College. Saint Xavier put up 44 runs in the series and won both games via the run rule.
Richard R. Ferrell Memorial Field located on its Chicago campus at 3700 West 103rd Street. The field is directly north of Lake Marion and positioned behind Regina Hall.
