ST. LOUIS, Mo. – Roosevelt turned up the intensity in the second half to defeat Missouri-St. Louis 2-0 on the road Wednesday.
The Lakers (2-0-1) were outshot 8-3 in the opening half, but they made their final attempt of the stanza count. Alexander Panduro scored his first career goal in the 44th minute to break the deadlock. Cedrik Strupler made both of his saves in the first half as all seven shots he faced in the second half did not challenge him on frame.
Fynn Mewes continued his sensational start to the season with his third goal in as many games. This one again came off a corner kick with Omar Yousaf supplying the service into the box for the German forward. The Lakers put three of their seven shots in the second half on target as they claimed victory in their first road test of the season.
UP NEXT: Roosevelt stays on the road as it heads to Ohio to take on Lake Erie College at noon Saturday in the final non-conference match of the season.
