BRONX, N.Y. – Roosevelt was swept in the first game of its East-Coast roadtrip by Manhattan on Friday in the Bronx.
The Lakers started off well and was able to match the Jaspers through much of the first set. Manhattan was able to pull away for a 25-16 win in the opening set and Roosevelt didn't have a response. The Jaspers jumped out to early leads in the second and third sets while cruising to 25-13 and 25-14 wins.
Mark Zmojdzin led the Lakers (2-2) with eight kills and Martino Bertagnoli dished out 16 assists and led the team with six digs. Jonathan Stovring had five kills and a pair of blocks while Kajetan Bieniek also added five kills as well as five digs.
