ROCKFORD, Ill. – Roosevelt could not overcome a poor opening game to finish 31st at the Leatherneck Classic over the weekend in Rockford, Ill.
The Lakers were in 38th place after the first game on Saturday, but they steadily moved up to 29th by the time play ended on the first day. After the first Baker game on Sunday, the Lakers rose to 27th, but fell back to 31st over the final few Baker games.Â
Joseph Diaz led Roosevelt with a score of 963 pins, good for 84th individually and a 192 average.
Troy Welker was in 92nd with a 953 and an average of 190 per game.Â
