ARLINGTON HEIGHTS – Roosevelt was unable to get its footing Friday afternoon as it fell 6-0 to Northern Michigan in a Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference matchup at Morris Field.
The Lakers' only two shots came in the second half and neither reached target.
Roxy Herrera made eight saves, including a pair of key early stops that held off the Wildcats' attack for a bit. Northern Michigan scored in the 15
th minute then added two in a four-minute span right before halftime to take a 3-0 lead into the intermission. The Wildcats added three more between the 56
th and 63
rd minutes to complete the scoring.
Roosevelt fell to 0-4-2 on the season and 0-3-0 in the GLIAC with the loss.
