Big Rapids, Mich. – Ferris State senior Brinley Bell registered two goals and an assist to lead the Bulldogs past the Roosevelt women's soccer team, 7-0, on Sunday afternoon at the Bulldog Soccer Field.
Bell assisted on Ferris State's third goal in the 33
rd minute of the contest and then tallied the fifth and sixth markers in the 56
th and 79
th minutes, respectively, as part of the Bulldog's season-high scoring output.
Roosevelt keeper Roxana Herrera faced 19 shots and made an impressive 13 saves in the loss. Ferris State outshot the Lakers 46-11 in the match, putting 23 on frame.
The setback dropped Roosevelt to 0-12-4 overall and 0-11-2 in Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) play. Ferris State, meanwhile, improved to 7-5-4 overall, with a 6-4-2 GLIAC ledger.
