Shawn McCarthy enters his second season as the volunteer assistant coach for the Roosevelt men's and women's volleyball programs. 

McCarthy was a four-year player for the Lakers men's volleyball program, joining Roosevelt during the merger with Robert Morris University Illinois. The Oak Forest native is the program's career leader in kills with 491 during his four years with the team.
