Aianna Wilson joined the Roosevelt women's basketball coaching staff as an assistant coach in June 2024.
Wilson arrived at Roosevelt after spending the 2023-24 season as an assistant coach at Lake Forest College. Prior to her one season with the Foresters, Wilson was the graduate assistant for two season at North Park University in Chicago. The Springfield, Ohio native began her coaching career in her home state as an assistant coach for one season at Terra State Community College.
In her coaching career, Wilson has had a chance to work with several notable talents during her stops around Chicagoland. At North Park, she coached four all-conference players, including Jayla Johnson, who was a third-team All-American during Wilson's first season with the Vikings.Â
Wilson played for four years at Heidelberg University in Ohio and was a force on the defensive end for her team. She was twice named the team's defensive player of the year and she was a two-time captain for the Student Princes. She also earned the prestigious Prugh Award from Heidelberg as the graduating student-athlete who best demonstrated leadership in all aspects of their life.
